You Were Never the Problem

Years ago, I used to love shopping. Browsing the aisles, trying things on — it was fun, exciting, joyful. But then came pregnancy. A beautiful time in my life. And like many women, I gained weight — and kept gaining after giving birth.

That’s when my relationship with fashion started to shift. Shopping became frustrating. I couldn’t find my size. Stores didn’t carry what I needed. And when they did, it never felt like me.

Even online shopping — something I leaned on during pregnancy — started to feel like a disappointment. Wrong fits. Poor quality. Awkward return policies. I wasn’t just uncomfortable in my clothes... I was uncomfortable with the way fashion treated my body.

One day, my husband (an IT professional) said something simple:
“What if we created our own store?” I laughed. Then paused. Then thought — why not?

That night, something changed. I realized I didn’t want to be part of the problem anymore. I wanted to be part of the solution.

And so Soysals was born — a plus-size online store created by someone who lives it. A brand built not around “more fabric” — but around real bodies, real stories, and real needs.

You shouldn’t have to change your body to fit fashion. Fashion should be made to fit you.
